Tanla solutions Bhushan Dewan appointed as President, Quality and Business Excellence

Bhushan Dewan, former Vice President Business Excellence in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Joins Tanla to ensure consistency in Project Excellence delivery and quality products

Process Improvement Bhushan has projects for different business functions strategic, tactical and operational. This includes the leadership and strategic planning, customer and market processes, information technology and knowledge management HR processes and delivery process and support processes.

Before taking up his duties within the TCS, Bhushan career around different positions of CEO, Quality Systems International, Professor of Management at NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), and he also served as commander of the Indian Navy.

Bhushan has obtained his M. Tech in the telecommunications sector of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.He is also the author of two books published in the World whole in the areas of information technology.

New Ivey Dean

Carol Stephenson has been regarded as the eighth dean of the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western and the first woman to perform the function.

Stephenson, the former chairman and CEO of Lucent Technologies Canada, Dean is 1 July 2003 for a term of five years.

“Carol has proved itself is a star in the business world and is considered the dean of the academic mission of the school and the university,” said Western President Paul Davenport. “It was a long quest , and they are increasingly, if you have a really good guide. ”

Stephenson’s expertise covers marketing, operations, strategic planning, technology development and financial management. Before their time at Lucent (1999 to 2003), she served as President and Chief Operating Officer (The Americas) of BCE Media Inc. She was also president and CEO of Stentor Resource Centre Inc., where national marketing and the technology center’s new development in Canada for business telecom-munications. Stephenson began her career at Bell Canada in 1973, the advancement of management positions until they as Vice-President of Bell Canada in 1988.

Stephenson has a lot of rewards and recognition for their work and the participation of industry, was established in 1995 and Woman of the Year “by the Canadian Women in Telecommunications and 2001 Woman of Distinction of science and technology the YWCA. It has an impressive story of success in the conduct of the municipality, business and professional associations. It is also a very active volunteer.

As a graduate of the University of Toronto, Stephenson Executive Program of the Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of California at Berkeley and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. During 2000, she was awarded the honorary doctorate in engineering from Ryerson Polytechnic University.

Stephenson is currently divides his time between Toronto and Ottawa, but anticipated that his home is located in Ottawa, London and the shuttle over the weekend.

Stephenson adds, these are some of the major challenges, including the economy and the labour market. “I hope I have more time with companies in Canada and make sure our students have opportunities. The business community has always been very complex, we need to ensure that our students to understand the complexity of the business world. Ivey is currently under revision of curricula for students with what we have the best possible manner. ”

Stephenson adds, “I do not have all the answers, but I know he has the right Ivey finished, in order to meet the challenges, dedicated and passionate teachers and employees, and excellent asset Alumni excellent students , and strong support and counselling in Canada, Europe and Asia, and also the main building of the University. It is an unbeatable combination. ”

She says, it will have an impact on the three essential elements of the leadership: vision, values and deeply rooted in the policy of open communication.

As for their hobbies, Stephenson said she likes gardening. It also benefits the boat, and is the scene of a huge Ottawa Senators hockey fans.

When asked about where she sees herself and Ivey will in the future, it simply says, “there are great chances for us.”

Stephenson is replaced Lawrence G. Tapp retirement after as dean of the Richard Ivey School of Business since 1995.
