NEW DELHI, Aug. 10. ENROLLING Undergraduate in a course at a university after his 12nd Indian Examinations, after 19 years of Amar Yadav, would hardly helped to get a job. Amar, who made his last years B.Sc. — (Hons) in hotel management at the Institute for International Management and Technology (IIMT), Gurgaon, has just returned after a year’s internship at the Radisson Hotel in London. He is now convinced that a good break in the gastronomic sector, not only in India but also in the international market.
IIMT a tie-up at Oxford Brookes University, UK, UK offers a level of their students. The degree to Dr. Kamlesh Misra, Director, IIMT, “was comparable to the level proposed in the UK, and if the student wishes, it was also the last year for which, of course, on campus and UK. “IIMT is a joint venture of Radisson Hotels International, Edwardian Group in Germany, India and Unitech GGL Co., Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd
With more and more Indian students in search of work and career-oriented courses in Indian universities is not able to offer courses in quality, there was a growth of a large number of ‘private sector actors, provide foreign degree in India.
Apart from IIMT, is the training institute in Integrated Management (IILM), which has a tie-up with the University of Bradford, and offers a wide range of Undergraduate and Post-Graduate courses and Wigan and Leigh outside the college UK, a number of vocational courses.
The factor is that in all these foreign financial institutions and insurance, a job. Another factor common to all these institutions, the fact that none of them are recognized by the Indian government. So how credible are these courses?
“We are not the government’s efforts on the recognition that our courses are recognised by the industry,” notes Dr. Ahindra Chakravarti, Director, IILM.
“All our courses are the same as for the curriculum offered at the university in Britain. The study comes from there, but the studies are, themselves, and the Faculty is also, for them,” says Mishra. “All of our programs have one year of training, and most of our students go to Britain, the United States or Australia for their internship,” he says.
Outside the campus at Gurgaon, IIMT also has a new campus in Kolkata, where you can take a B.Sc. (Hons) in the hotel management program. “Our program is recognized as the best hotel management courses in Europe and the United States. That’s why we do not bother on the recognition by the Indian government. We are confident that our students receive, in some of the best hotels in the world, “Professor Note Saha, Director, IIMT, Kolkata.
Inasmuch as the students are concerned, all issues that are, ultimately, which is the fact that decent work. Vartika said, a final years B.Sc. (Hons) IIMT student at Gurgaon, “I prefer certainly a global scale rather as an Indian degrees, which is not recognized anywhere in the world.” On the other side, Mr. Vinay Pasricha, Wigan and Leigh, said that the biggest benefit in the course of his institute, the reports indicate that nearly 3000 students from different organizations, whether focused on commercial companies. “Whether it is a post-graduate diploma in management courses or diploma in fashion designing all of our students an education in an enterprise of the date on which they in the course. In most cases, in which companies rent their training, “he said.
Mr. Pashricha believes that the University of India not to deliver, and the number of vocational institutes much less than the actual demand, more and more students from India abroad for professionals courses of study.
When Dr. IILM of Chakravarti, who said: “Our courses are geared towards the needs of work and are of a high academic standard. On the contrary, university courses are obsolete and not equip a student on the face of the industry. Therefore, more and more large number of students come to us in the Undergraduate level.
Drawing a comparison between the bids and the way throughout the country leading organizations such as the IIMs, NIFTs and NID, Mr. Pasricha said, “Our courses are more survival is commercially available in the first Institute of India.
The IIMs and NIFTs doubt, the cream of students, but none of the Indian Institute offer such a variety of vocational courses. ”
“The IIMs have a track record of 25 years, while the chains of Foreign Studies in India are new and is rapidly gaining popularity,” said Dr Mishra IIMT, Gurgaon.
The industry, on the other hand, it seems quite open, the recruitment of students from these universities.
Says Mr. Ranjan Bargotra, president of the advertising agency Wachsmalstifte, “reflect what we, as the hiring of a person is within its jurisdiction.
Qualifications little question these days. We recruited students from Wigan and Leigh for our clients media and service departments and are very satisfied with them. ”
Finally, scientists of Education, Mr SP Bakshi, who believes that the introduction of foreign courses of study in India is a huge blow to the government of the education policy. “The education system in our country is archaic. Foreign these studies, one or more openings for these students,” he says.
