There were 22 MBA Vietnamese graduates and eight BA Vietnamese graduates in these first classes receiving the degrees of the University of Bolton. The degrees are recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Deborah Clarke, British consul general in HCMC, said there would be plenty of opportunities for Vietnamese graduates as Vietnam’s economic success and integration into the global economy is fuelling demand for well-educated managers who are able to operate in a global market-place.
She added education is one of the five key pillars of the UK’s relationship with Vietnam and that the collaborative partnership between the two universities will help to create a critical mass of skilled professionals with an international outlook in Vietnam as well as further strengthen educational links between the UK and Vietnam and promote understanding between the two countries.
Working in partnership with HCMC University of Banking, the University of Bolton has delivered the programs in HCMC since 2006. The programs include Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration, and transfer program for Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration.
An enrolment seminar for these programs will be held at 8:30 a.m. on July 19 at Kim Do Hotel, 133 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1, HCMC. Thierry Audric, Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of France in New Delhi has recently been appointed as Director General of EduFrance. It is the fee in January of next year. Education Times spoke with him in the role of France, EduFrance and the target for the next higher education.
Tell us a little about the mail that you are going, as head of the EduFrance in Paris. When did you planned to take?
I planned to take as CEO of EduFrance, from next January. The French have a policy to welcome foreign students in France. Over the past three years, we have a government that EduFrance is composed of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, higher education and institutional management, plant engineering, Faculty of Medicine to promote education abroad.
The fact remains that France has mainly private, public and not higher education. Several British and American institutions are deprived of the nature and spirit for their fiscal policy needs, they are required, even market. French universities are not intended to promote himself, because they will not. But a decision was taken by the government and universities in the internationalization of education and the promotion of higher education in France.
In this regard, decided EduFrance, committed to the promotion of several services such as international students welcome to draw up a list of students, residences and other students with a friendly service.

Staff at a Notts college are to work with education chiefs in India to develop centres of excellence.
Principal of West Notts College Asha Khemka has been to India to explore the potential in developing education and training there.
The college hopes to take students to India and bring students to its base in Mansfield to study vocations such as fashion and tourism.
Mr Khemka said: “The speed of economic development across the sub-continent is extremely impressive and the Indian President Mr APJ Abdul Kalam has set a target to have developed India by 2020.
“He is an inspirational leader who clearly has high aspirations for his country and this includes raising the profile of education and skills.
“There is still some groundwork to be done in terms of establishing terms of reference for such a development.” During his visit to Jaipur and Pune at the end of January, he met the president and vice president of India, representatives of the British High Commission and Ministry of Education and chief minister of Rajasthan.
West Notts College specialises in vocational courses like tourism and hospitality. It is these strengths it hopes to pass on to people in India.
The Rajasthan Government intends to set up centres of excellence, at which West Notts College will help to deliver courses. It plans to do this by staff visits there or by equipping lecturers there with skills.
Tim Grant, deputy principal at the college, said: “We are hoping to bring people here to the college to help provide them with opportunities in engineering, health and social care and logistics.” The Institute of Business Management and Research in India, and the Sinhgad Institute of Management and Computer Application were also interested in developing partnerships with the college.
