Some may suddenly decide to do something different, some of us may not be satisfied in our work environment, some may want to walk the path that not many have tread. However, one should be careful while making such decisions for they may have wide ramifications in one’s life.
Hospital Management programmes, no doubt, have plenty of opportunities, but at this juncture, after having spent four years in the engineering fraternity, the decision is bound to be tough. You should help your daughter take the correct decision and support her, as it will be in her interest to pursue what she wants to.
Institutes all over the country offer full-time courses in Master’s in Hospital Management (MHA), Diploma in Hospital Management (DHA) and M.D. in Hospital Management. Of late, distance education programmes are also becoming useful to those who are working.
Armed Forces Medical College (Pune), Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Hyderabad), AIIMS (Delhi) and Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (Bangalore) have been following MCI’s syllabus for postgraduate studies in hospital administration, which has augured well with the hospitals. The Administrative Staff College, Hyderabad, also offers the Master’s in the subject.
