Presidents return IIM plans, want to revise govt: poll Asso Cham
New Delhi, January 20 (PTI) India Inc supports IIM Bangalore plan of setting up a centre in Singapore and the Government on its decision to allow leaders of engineering and management institutions abroad to develop a poll Asso Cham said.

The government has recently shot down a proposal of IIM-B to the signing of the agreement with Singapore for the creation of a center. The Department of Human Resources Development had said while IIMS can be autonomous, they should not be treated as profit-oriented institutions.
“Improving the management and technical facilities on a global scale, we would be on the road to improving the quality of human resource in India,” President Asso Cham Anil Agarwal said.
The proposal should not be treated as a profit Proposal alone, he said. It would also be of great importance, he said, adding that schools can do so without constraint to the government’s budgetary discipline should be able to expand, he said.
