If A is B.

Arbit Choudhury, a school of the B-character comics fans in the world!

Some would say that the alphabet “B” and a B-school is the ideal choice. A marriage in the sky. Many words beginning with ‘B’ spring quickly to mind when, in the context of a B-school.

Most often, businesses, books, brain and dare to say … boring! Well, think again. The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai Premiere B’s Schools, decided this pause ‘B’ domination with a very cool “A” - a name of cartoon character Arbit Choudhury.

Initially, as the mascot of NITIE inter-collegiate Youth Festival “Prerana, was created by two students Shubham Choudhury NITIE and Hemantkumar Jain, Arbit refers to a characteristic of MBA students.

“The idea behind the concept was beaten that we think all those we have B-making is serious bookish students finished,” said Shubham years-24. “Arbit is your average dude …

… has big dreams and even greater mouth.

His wisecracks are legendary among his friends, to be amused by his preference for blurting out business balderdash peppermint with his “Arbitisms.”

Arrivals of the world receive a dose of this small business buffoon “was on the agenda next and so Shubham and cocreator Hemantkumar decided it was high time to Arbit had his own residence in cyberspace.

Shubham said, “The Arbit Choudhury comic book became very popular on our website.

For NITIE Associate Dean and as coordinator of the Festival Ashok Pundir such initiatives by students only to show how it can be facets. “I think it is very innovative and reflects the creators’ immense talent.

On NITIE, we make a point of encouraging, Out-of-thebox thinking among our students, because in this regard is that the spark future employers seek and …

… this is a very universal. ”

Ashwin NITIEians Jayasankar as saying that they identify completely with Arbit. “It is too often juggle the concepts of strategy, logistics, marketing, finance, etc. and tries, unsuccessfully, in real life situations.

These are the similarities between him and us, I suppose, have made him such a success, “says Ashwin.

But most of the best schools in country B are yet to follow this unique model Arbit. Twenty years Anupam Jain, a student from IIM Calcutta, said: “We do not have regular Comic-strip. But we do our own series of cartoons in various manifestations.”

It is true that B is not tested in other schools, it is stated that adding condiments of life on campus. “People think that all workplaces and no game for B school. But the reality is not the case. Stries fair as it can lighten the mood of students,” said Anupam.

Dr KK Chaudhuri, director of the Army Institute of Management, Calcutta, welcomed the idea. But he said …

… they have no plans to set up such a cartoon character.

“The priorities are in Engineering Institute. This model can not be true, B for other schools. Would it been so, they would put in place much earlier.

The best B schools may think that, from another angle and a little more creative. ”

What Arbit, he continues to familiarize themselves with the complexity of being armed with a student of its biggest USP … not be as “Arbit’rary sense of humor!
