RV Rajan as president-elect, RMAAI
At the second General Assembly of the sales campaign Agencies Association of India (RMAAI) held in Delhi, RV Rajan, president of Chennai-based Anugrah Madison, was elected as the chairman of the third term for the years 2007-08 . Rajan is also the founding president of the RMAAI.
The other carriers are Office Pradeep Kashyap MART, New Delhi, as Vice President, Khurram Askari of Insight Communications, Hyderabad, as secretary and R Parthasarathy Kripa of outdoor advertising, Chennai. The other members of the EC are Ogilvy Outreach Anurag Gupta, Mumbai, Pradeep Lokhande relations of Agriculture, Pune; RA Patankar of Sampark, Mumbai, Sandip Bansal of Xpanse Asia, Mumbai, Sanjay Kaul impact of communication, Delhi, Sanjay Pragat vision of the Force, Bhopal, and Sunil Khairnar Agri Business India, New Delhi.
Rajan said: “Although the club is only two years, we have made enormous progress in enhancing awareness about the marketing of rural areas, and what must be done by businesses, for a larger pie of the rapid growth of markets in rural India. ”
The rural ICT seminar, the third seminar of the industry concentrates under the direction of RMAAI NASSCOM, in conjunction with the Foundation, has been a great success, if it generates new ideas and active participation interaction between the speakers and the public.
“In the coming years, we plan to organise a seminar on rural telecommunications, a case study contest is open to students of the first institutions on the basis of rural projects, which contribute to greater awareness of the campaign marketing among students. A seminar on “Public-private partnership in rural development” is in Bhopal later this year. ”
According to Rajan, RMAAI is also planning a book on “case studies in marketing campaigns, in collaboration with Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. MICA has also entrusted RMAAI, a full course credit in rural marketing in the year where the club is solely responsible for education and the Faculty, those envisaged in the circle of members of RMAAI. With the help of MICA, which contributes RMAAI site also to the press in rural marketing of each month, can be downloaded by members and other interested parties with information in their marketing.
RMAAI is also planning a study of a rural profile and procurement shopping countryside. RMAAI also publishes the “Journal of Rural Marketing”, a quarterly that messages, articles and information of interest to marketing campaigns. Three issues have already been published. The fourth question on rural ICT seminar is planned in July 2007.
