Synovate has made senior hires for its Delhi and Mumbai offices. Jaisy Desai will head up qualitative research for the Western Indian market, and Meeta Luthra, Deepak Dasila and Sumit Arora join at AD and Senior Project Director levels.
Desai has over 15 years of experience and joins from qual boutique Ormax. She worked earlier for TNS, IMRB and ACNielsen ORG MARG on projects including ad testing, usage and attitude studies, concept and product testing, customer need analysis and trend analysis. She holds an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Management Institute, Mumbai.
Luthra joins Synovate Loyalty as Associate Director, from IMRB International where she spent much of her career in the customer satisfaction division. She worked earlier at Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Co.
Deepak Dasila joins the Mumbai office and Sumit Arora the Delhi office, both as Senior Project Directors. Dasila also joins from IMRB International, and was previously General Manager-Client Services with the International Institute of Research, Sydney. He holds an MBA from Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Institute, Aurangabad. Arora leaves JD Power & Associates, Singapore and will work primarily in Synovate Motoresearch. His MBA in Marketing comes from IISW & BM, Calcutta University.

The statue of Sarvodaya guide Jai Prakash Narayan, are installed on the ground adjacent to the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium, following an agreement between the extrajudicial Delhi District Cricket Association and the Centre. The Delhi High Court today gave its approval to the settlement between the two parties.
SK Kaul Justice has approved the extra conciliation between the government and the DDCA higher after the lawyer Arun Jaitley, appeared for the DDCA, argued that the problem was resolved by mutual agreement by both parties.
According to mutual understanding between the two parties, a garage would be developed on the ground beside Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, before the stadium and JP’s statue would be installed above ground, Mr Jaitely, appeared for the DDCA, said the court.
The DDCA in a petition had to reserve the field for parking during the Cricket games, while the Government had a proposal to develop it into a park and install the statue of Jai Prakash Narayan.

The programme is offered through distance mode and provides students with information on disasters - the causes and effects; factors, significance, disaster preparedness; prevention; mitigation; relief; reconstruction and rehabilitation. In addition, IGNOU also offers a comprehensive programme on community awareness in disaster preparedness.
The PRT Institute of Post Graduate Environmental Education and Research, Maidangarhi Marg, New Delhi, in association with Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, offers a two-year Master’s in Disaster Control to graduates or working professionals through distance learning.
