The biggest post-graduate management programme in India, the largest Executive Programme in Asia, an area of hunting popular in the world for business, a reputation for excellence, a building futuristic campus welcomes the fact that the American President George W. Bush recently. .. The GOI School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, India, has come a long way over the past five years, and the journey has only just begun.
L’histoire de l’USIC exemple tête -, quand il s’agit de la gestion avisées, dans la foi en une idée, et les autres se sentent constamment l’innovation et la prise de risque, la coopération par-delà les frontières , the challenges, the consolidation of several players, as well as the achievement of breakthrough performance.
The idea was born in 1996. I have several leaders of India, and everyone thought that it offers a fascinating. We wanted a unique institution, international standards on the quality of each dimension. We saw that the changes are taking place at the beginning of this part of the world and knew that it would be a stronger demand for qualified guides and business.
Globalization, which is gaining momentum, increased mobility of capital, resources and knowledge, in itself, the demand for leaders with a global perspective. Our goal was to develop an international business of a quality education for about one-third of the cost of school for first in the United States or Europe. As a world-class has meant, is recognized worldwide and is one of the best business schools in the world. This means that they should be privately funded and completely autonomous.
The first step was for the support and approval of company directors. We have a core of the national team leading businesses, which are connected. In addition to the consistent, the concept of faith and the strong financial assistance, it invests something of value - their time from time to scout for a place, time, labour, capital, from time to time to to convince the idea. We have also, with the support of many Indians living abroad, had studied on the world-class facilities and were very interested in helping to establish in their country of origin.
Next we knew that the idea of what should be done with the help of scientists because of a program structure and to ensure the participation of the Faculty upmarket. An International Academic Council has been formed for developing a curriculum with data collected by the Board of Directors.
In November 1997, we have been subjected has had support from the Wharton School and the Kellogg School of Management - two main competitors, and schools, a performance never ever. In December 2000, London Business School, also a member of the group.
In 1998, we have an international administration of Presidents and leaders of some of the most prestigious and multinational corporations in India. A historic global-local businesses and institutions of higher education and partnership has been done so that we can together ISB project starts. We are committed to the ambitious goal of beginning of the first class in July 2001.
We recognized that attracting top-notch faculty of the school and the establishment of a pool of residents Faculty would be very long. We have around the issue of the Faculty of invitation from the top 20 schools to teach here.
A visit Faculty single model has been designed. Many people feel the model was not sustainable, but it has in fact proved the biggest attraction for students, as it is said, they are taught a stellar group of faculty, not that one Business School has to offer. We follow more of our objective of creating a pool of top-notch faculty established.
We now have a twenty residence of the members of the College, with an excellent track record in research. We had agreed to the introduction of a year of a program for professionals and want to work to ensure that the pupils were of the highest quality, with a proven track record of scientific excellence, maturity and of the pipe. We also felt diversity is a key factor in the enrichment of the learning experience.
We have rigorous selection procedures. We are putting in place the means of a bar at 690 GMAT by schools with the leaders, and now further increased to 705 bars. We will at least two years of professional experience as a criterion for admission.
Statistics show that the size is another factor at a school. We started with a class of 126 students, this year we admitted 418 plan and the ramp up to 600 students in 2010.
Our emphasis on work experience and a challenge to drive fast. In India and Asia, it is customary, control them, immediately after their completion. A pause of a career return for a further year, the training requires a break from tradition and a change in mentality. He called for great efforts to human beings and convincing.
This emphasis on work experience has also contributed to one of the greatest strengths of the school. It has never been seen with students of diversity from a wide range of backgrounds … Officers of the army, the officers of India Administrative Services (IAS), college professors, doctors, air crews, television, journalists, professional models, architects, diving in deep water, and much more. We also is good for the diversity of its kind and attracts almost 20% of women in our program.
During this opportunity to find a career or a higher paying job at the end of the program is a value proposition that the ISB offers students, pupils, the provision of the proposal for such value ‘ is not easy. The first year was the biggest challenge because we had to convince businesses to recruit not only students, coming from a new school, but also in recruiting for middle and upper management positions.
We started our Executive Education programs in our first year - another unprecedented. Most of the institutions and their implementation of Executive Education programs, when the Post-Graduate programme is fully implemented. We saw Executive Education channel for the dissemination of the awareness of the school, the school has the world-class functions and the establishment of the school’s reputation, to attract students and Staff placement.
Pointe of the research was an essential part of the vision of the school. No company of the reputation of the school has received recognition solely on the basis of education, the quality of their research, the basic principle is the key success factor.
A direction of the research is the most important factor in achieving high rankings Faculty. We have six major priorities - Strategic Marketing; analytical finance, entrepreneurship, leadership and change, technology and logistics and Manufacturing Strategies. We decided to build “centres of excellence” in each of these areas. We saw these centres is to support both at the Faculty of the CIS and the Business Schools Senior Research in emerging markets.
Another element of assessing the distinctive character was infrastructure. While the General feels that the infrastructure was less important, we maintained, it is critical that this would be a physical representation of the “world-class” theme. We have a state-of-the-art infrastructure would ensure that the international standards of living and leisure for teachers and students.

Call him a privatization or flagrant, in a pragmatic way, to kill competition, the truth is glamour, has quickly become an essential part of the Post-Graduate education. Especially with the Management Institute.
Inviting celebrities, presidents, politicians and bureaucrats, to provide lectures and interact with students is a regular feature with academic institutions in Pune these days.
Indeed, the more publicity now questions about the institutions, as regard to the attitude of the government, for the media to them. Symbiosis If the group has “pioneer” of the trend, a person is really opposed.
The University of Pune’s EMRC, gave its mixture Media, Indira Institute for Management, a series of seminars and almost all other institutions of management have a celeb-assessment as a project manager for its ceremonies. Institute head admit that VIP invitation to the college are huge mileage and internships improved.
But there more.Keshav Rae, the director, Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), which recently organized the RD Aga Leadership Series, with multiple personalities such as Shobha De and Bachi Karkaria, exchanges with the students, their points of view. Rae believes that the effects of such a development are crucial.
“The focus on academics does anywhere. Our plan is a perfect balance and take the best of both worlds,” he says. It does not question the fact that networking with a regular monitoring of Presidents Top aide ‘crack’ a certain company.
The question is whether the academics, school insights to change in the short to the reservation.
Even more important is that these conferences would pause, the dynamics of study plans?
Chetan Wakalkar, director, Indira Institute for Management, does not think so. “Both, in the evaluation of players and the curriculum, have different roles to play. Need both are due, it can not drive development.
But yes, the game to a certain image is important.
I would say that the only way to survive the competition is an approach to corporate governance management of an institution, “he says.
Among the few universities that are not connect to these views, the Institute for Management Development and Research (IMDR), which has an enviable academic record, but never concerned about publicity.
“These strategies work only in the short run. Lastly, each institution has its credibility to build. Does not mean that we can not invite Presidents, but” networking “is not so much over our heads. The problem is that , if an institution is these relationships groove, it is very difficult to obtain. It tends to demystify the image and with a real identity is lost, “says Bhupatkar AP, the director, IMDR.
