Mumbai-based S P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) is all set to launch its first course at the S P Jain Centre of Management (SPJCM) in the Knowledge Village in Dubai on 13 Jun 2004. The Institute wants to bring a multinational context to its student and faculty body and to the manner in which it runs its programmes. The Knowledge Village in Dubai will house leading universities and training centres from all over the world, forming the first `global campus’. SPJCM will offer a one-year full-time postgraduate diploma and management (PGDM) course. The course will offer four specialisations specific to the professional needs of Dubai, including investments banking and wealth management in the financial services sector; and retail management and hospitality management.
The Institute will hold road shows in India, Pakistan and most of the Middle East countries so as to recruit a mix of NRI and local Arab students.
The faculty will be a mix of SPJI lecturers, visiting professionals and full-time staff.
