For Indian Business Schools with global ambitions, Singapore is fast, hot as a goal. Earlier this year, IIM Bangalore announced its plans for the creation of a campus. And now Mumbai-based SP Jain Institute of Management and Research expects to likewise.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has concluded an agreement with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), in which the staff of the ONGC be subjected to study MBA at IIFT Super Unnati Prayas regime.
ONGC send their employees IIFT for a full-time, 18 months of the MBA program with a specialization in international affairs. The company is also the transfer of employees, have their headquarters in New Delhi to study residential students at the Institute. The objective of the regulation is to update the knowledge base of the ONGC leaders. IIFT out specific written tests ONGC leaders of five centres across India.
Twenty employees were selected for the course. The course is in line with the needs of the ONGC. Issues such as logistics of international trade, World Trade Organisation (WTO) and issues related to WTO, international trade policies, Managing Global Sourcing, international business strategy, standards and ethics are underway .

Mumbai-based S P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) is all set to launch its first course at the S P Jain Centre of Management (SPJCM) in the Knowledge Village in Dubai on 13 Jun 2004. The Institute wants to bring a multinational context to its student and faculty body and to the manner in which it runs its programmes. The Knowledge Village in Dubai will house leading universities and training centres from all over the world, forming the first `global campus’. SPJCM will offer a one-year full-time postgraduate diploma and management (PGDM) course. The course will offer four specialisations specific to the professional needs of Dubai, including investments banking and wealth management in the financial services sector; and retail management and hospitality management.
The Institute will hold road shows in India, Pakistan and most of the Middle East countries so as to recruit a mix of NRI and local Arab students.
The faculty will be a mix of SPJI lecturers, visiting professionals and full-time staff.

Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB) in Pune, Maharahstra, offers four courses of study post in international trade outside postgraduate diploma in Business Management (PGDBM).
