Life After MBBS

Even after your MBBS done, you can feel that working in a hospital in odd hours of the day is not really your vocation. With the limited availability of post-graduation seats and employment opportunities, a slight change in career should not be so serious, even an idea for a medical degree.

A call adjusts the temperament and requirements, and where we can successfully exploit the merits healthy.

Interdisciplinary Science

The discipline of science is only on the categories of physics, chemistry, biology, but it is a recent confinement areas of interoperability with a mixture of two or more compartments. Medical science is the integration with other areas such as information technology and engineering disciplines, such as bio-informatics, biotechnology, biomedicine and so on …

..

Medical graduates are in great demand and research to explore different fields of engineering, that the distribution of diagnosis and electronics entertainment health, biomaterials and Engineered Tissue Engineering, molecular biotechnology, nanotechnology, medical imaging and treatment imageguided and computer engineering, the silence of those celebrities, research-based institutions and organizations.

Hospital Administration

The role of health professionals began administrator planning to implementation, coordination and monitoring the provision of health care.

Non-graduate medical practitioners are increasingly absorbed in hospitals, medical facilities and other organizations such as hospital managers and health care administrators.

“For the good management of a medical facility of 200 or fewer employees, it helps to once lessons in health / hospital management, because most of the time learning a hit-and-test …

..

The ongoing management of health care, as a general rule, the organization offers entries on behaviour, health economics, organization of research, health, strategic management, as a hospital, requirements of a hospital, the organization of OP, the national health programme, medico-legal acts waste management, international rules of health, comparative analyses of health management, accounting and so forth ,’’said Dr Mahesh Verma, Principal of Maulana Azad Medical College - Dental-Wing, and an MBA from the gold medalist in Health Care Administration of the Faculty of Business Economics, Delhi University.

Public Health

Already a great discipline in the west, the importance of public health will be progressively extended to India. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Kashmere Gate, has the effect that a Master’s in Public Health (MPH).

Designed according to the exigencies of the situation and India, MPH GGSIPU programme is to focus on
health preventive and curative aspects …

..

Sponsored by WHO and the National Institute of Communicable Disease, New Delhi, MPH admit the program, 20 students from the first part of 50% of candidates would MBBS graduates.

Other institutions in India are following suit.

Medical Transcription

Medical Transcription includes the transformation of medical records dictated by doctors and other health professionals in an audio format, in a written text.

Medical records can also history, notes clinics, diagnostic reports, operational details, recipes, notes discharge and other details.

Since it requires a solid knowledge of medical terminology beside the language and good computer skills, medical is a competent partner in the provision of a medical Transcriptionist someone with a non-medical .

According to Rajiv Shetye, Vice President Operations, Spryance India, “Medical Transcription for an exciting career option for medical care, graduates, because it enough margin to win its skills, ability and commitment.

Admittedly, it was necessary for the implementation of the training of qualified medical Transcriptionist, medical graduates have a decisive advantage because of their university in medical science.

Petroleum Engineer.

Among the many engineering fields, Petroleum Engineering is a very challenging and demanding career opportunity. Extracting oil and gas from the earth is the primary job of a Petroleum Engineer. Petroleum now provides over 70 percent of the world’s energy and likely to do so for another 100 years. In a sense, no other branch of engineering is more concerned with our everyday life. Economic and environmentally safe production of hydrocarbon resources requires creative application of a wide spectrum of knowledge, ranging from the basic sciences like mathematics, physics and chemistry to almost all engineering disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc. A Petroleum Engineer is involved at just about every stage of oil-field evaluation, development and production to maximize hydrocarbon recovery from earth. They evaluate potential oil and gas reservoirs along with Geologists, select and implement recovery scheme, design surface collection and treatment facilities and oversee drilling activities. When a workable reservoir containing oil or natural gas is discovered, a petroleum engineer’s job is to achieve the maximum profitable recovery from the reservoir by implementing the most efficient method. Because only a small proportion of the oil and gas in a reservoir will flow out under natural forces, petroleum engineers develop and use various enhanced recovery methods. These include injecting water, chemicals or steam inside the well to force more of the oil out. Though best known technologies are in use, recovery is only 25 percent of the reserve. Hence a Petroleum Engineer has a future full of challenges and opportunities. They must develop and apply new technology to recover more hydrocarbons from oil fields and gas fields. They must also devise new techniques to recover oil left in the ground after application of conventional production methods. These new methods must be aimed at recovering additional petroleum beyond 25 percent typically recovered with conventional technology. Required Personality Traits The prospective candidate must enjoy technical and engineering work. He must adhere to the safety requirements. Besides this, ability to work without supervision, good communications skill and co-ordination skill are very important. A Petroleum Engineer must be a very careful and responsible person, as petroleum production is a hazardous operation and an oil-rig cost crores of rupees. Working Conditions Petroleum Engineers work where oil and gas found may be inside the sea in an oil-rig or inside a forest or may be even in the desert. As this specialisation in engineering is very demanding, it calls for hard work. An Engineer in this field must be ready to face many challenges, either natural or social, to make it a success. As many oil exploration companies are multinationals and work worldwide, hence many engineers from India work outside the country. In the country the employers of Petroleum Engineers are the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and other oil companies like Oil India etc. Courses One can have a BE / B.Tech degree in Petroleum Engineering after 10+2 (with PCM) from: l Indian School of Mines - Dhanbad l Maharashtra Institute of Technology - Pune l Bharathidasam University - Tiruchirapalli and M.E./M.Tech after Engineering from: l Indian School of Mines - Dhanbad l Dibrugarh University - Dibrugarh; Assam l Maharashtra Institute of Technology Kallol Dutta

In short: if you are in your IIT are among the best
