Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has been giving grants-in-aid to NGOs all over the country to spread the message of Road Safety and create general awareness among them and inculcate Road Safety Culture.
During the year 1999-2000 and 2000-2001, grants-in-aid to 38 NGOs amounting to Rs. 28,78,635/- and grants-in-aid to 89 NGOs amounting to Rs. 74,13,775/- were given respectively. A list of such NGOs is given below:
