Founded in 1882 as Mohammedan Anglo Oriental College, who later studied at a university, Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest universities in the centre of the country. The University has a significant presence in providing quality education in engineering, medicine and management.
The Faculty of Management Studies and Research (FMSR) at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was in the field of management training for the past three decades.
The FMSR occupies 27 Rank B in all schools across the nation and second in the system at the University of Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University Business-after a poll Today 1999-2000. But despite his high rank, very few students are aware of the programme management in the AMU.
Education Times spoke to Ahmed Naseem, Vice-Chancellor, AMU, was in the capital, instead of the general meeting of Aligarh Management Alumni Association (ALMA), which can not be done on the market FMSR to prospective students for quality management - Programs.
The FMSR’s low profile
In general, B-schools market itself aggressive and this is an area where we exterminated in the past. Thus, very few prospective students have an idea about the management of the programme, despite the high ranking AMU Business Today survey.
His low profile may be known by the fact that only 4000 students, appeared for the entry test FMSR this year compared to 70000, appeared for the SGF.
The role of the ALMA for improving the profile of FMSR
The program management of the FMSR exists now for over three decades and that their graduates has played an important role to play, as far as improving the visibility and profile of the Division of the hotel concerned. For example, the chapter of ALMA Delhi is working on a plan of action to improve the visibility of the FMSR among students and future of the economy.
The former should be greater coordination with the Department of Management Studies. These are two scholarships to students in management, basic wages cum alongwith regular meetings nomination of persons in the business sector and bureaucrats verwaltungsbezogenen questions. It’s not all, as alumni planning is also assistant during the studies courses to enable students not only jobs but quality jobs optimally.
A political turmoil in the past as high students in the course of accession to the AMU?
The AMU is one of the largest universities in the country with more than 27000 students are studying at some point. It is like a mini-city, as we have 12 faculties and 27, Department of studies that are available in a single campus. It is increasingly the problem, if you use the management of the affairs of 27000 students, but it has never deterrred AMU students accession.

Some may opt for conventional courses, some for vocational and professional, while most of them would be looking for correct guidance to make their final choice, after 10+2.

Medicine
One of the other good old career choices from time immemorial, apart from engineering, is medical sciences. ‘‘The society needs both good general practitioners as well as specialist doctors. The health care in rural India still needs strengthening for which medical personnel are required in large numbers,’’ says Dr B K Jain, dean, faculty of medical sciences, University of Delhi and professor, Surgery, Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital. Jain remarks, ‘‘The medical graduates can start practising medicine after getting registered with the State Medical Councils.’’ The work areas include joining medical services under the government, corporations, autonomous bodies, armed forces, railways or corporate hospitals. One can practice privately or opt for further studies or training as resident doctors.
Architecture

The dean, School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Subir Saha says, ‘‘Unlike other professions, architecture is a profession of creativity, imagination and originality.’’ SPA, he claimed, was the topmost institute in Asia offering both bachelor’s and master’s courses in architecture. Education Times, in an interview with Arindham Chaudhuri, Dean, Centre for Economic Research & Advanced Studies at the Indian Institute of Planning & Management, New Delhi, (IIPM) to know his vision for education.
What are your views on government policy on education in India?
It is a total confusion on government initiatives in education before. Nobody knows what has been done until today, and what we must do more. Indeed, nothing has been achieved, if one is to believe that only 34 percent of the population to read and write in the country. I feel NGOs can play an important role in educating India.
Can you shed light on the management courses that you propose?
IIPM is a university research institute and therefore proposes that two management courses for students in one level Undergraduate - Bachelor of Business Administration and the other at both postgraduate - Master in Business Administration (MBA ). At the heart of the CWB and MBA programs is about national economic planning. The most important thing is that students in the CWB IIPM, after two years working in industry, are automatically with the MBA-closing. This means students from the CCB at a stage where further MBA program.
IIPM programs are recognized?
We have an agreement with the International Management Institute (IMI), Belgium, which is one of the world’s leading Business Schools. Thus, students receive their diplomas and degrees of IIPM IMI. IIPM management programs are not within the competence of the IAU, AICTE, UGC and other national institutions. Students in Delhi and Mumbai campus have the opportunity to transfer their credits to IMI Belgium and continuing their studies there.Besides, BBA, MBA, Executive Education scholarships and programs of the IIPM alongwith Gota programs are run by organizations such as the United Nations (Geneva), World Bank, ILO, Nestle SA, Vevey, INSEAD, IMD Lausanne, Credit Suisse, among other things, that some of the highest standards in the field of hotel .
What are your views on education Times?
It is a very informative, information on various career opportunities. Despite the publicity, which would not look stingy. The content, it is fabulous.

Many open career paths for students on the path of a glorious future, as a result of the school.
As a complement to a student after sweat and boredom of 10 +2 Committee tests, another test. It is time for all students to reflect on the choice of a profession, he or she has to be done. Founded in 1882 as the Mohammedan Anglo Oriental College, which later in a graduate of the university, the Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest universities in central and eastern Europe, in the country. The University has its presence significantly, the quality of education and technology, medicine and management.
The Faculty of Management Studies and Research (FMSR) at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been incorporated in the field of management training for the past three decades.
The 27th occupies FMSR Rang B in schools throughout the country and in the second at the University of Faculty of Management Studies (SGF), University of Delhi, after a survey conducted for Business Today 1999-2000. But despite his high rank, very few students are aware of the programme management in the AMU.
Education Times spoke Naseem Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor, AMU, was in the capital to attend the general meeting of the management body Aligarh Alumni Association (ALMA), what can be done more on the market among aspirants FMSR students for quality management programs.
The FMSR’s low profile
Generally, B-schools market itself aggressive, and this is an area where we zurückblieben in the past. Thus, very few prospective students have an idea on the management of the programme despite the AMU senior, by the Business Today survey.
Its low profile can be seen by the fact that only 4000 students appeared for the FMSR admissions test this year, compared to 70000 appeared for the SGF.
The role of the ALMA to improve the profile of FMSR
The management scheme FMSR now exists for more than three decades, and that their graduates had an important role to play, as far as improving the visibility and profile of the Division of Administration is involved. For example, the chapter of the ALMA Delhi is working on a plan of action to promote the improvement of the visibility of students, apprentices, as well as the FMSR Corporate sector.
Graduates will be more coordination with the Division of Management Studies. These are two scholarships to students of management on the basis of wages mean cum alongwith organizes periodic meetings of humans exposed in the business sector on the management and bureaucrats-related issues. That is not all, as the former is also planning assistant studies during the internship, to enable students not only jobs but also good quality jobs, if possible.
A political turmoil in the past by students in courses AMU judge of membership?
The AMU is one of the largest universities in the country, with more than 27000 students studying at any given time. It’s like a mini-city, we have 12 schools and 27 departments of study that are offered in a single campus. There will always be problems if you use managing the affairs of 27000 students, but it has never deterrred AMU students from membership.
Measures to be taken by the AMU to improve the profile of FMSR
The FMSR is part of the 85 departments in the AMU, and as other departments faces scarcity of resources, since there is no separate budget for the FMSR. However, this does not appear in nature, such as improving infrastructure FMSR with the best in the country. Here, ALMA done through an increase in its finances bit to improve infrastructure FMSR. For example, how the efforts of one of the graduates of the AMU to build a hostel for 400 students a few years can be a way of improving the infrastructure of the FMSR.
It is not like we have all the plans, in close collaboration with the ALMA, broadcast across the country invite influential people in the Corporate Sector is available on our campus, coordinated with the graduates a better distribution of the pamphlet under the Investment Potential employers. In addition, it becomes more ways to offer merit scholarships to students, so more students feel encouraged in this direction.
Plans for the Future
We expect to contribute to the consolidation of existing programs rather than new courses, so that the best infrastructure and facilities are made available, students can access various programs in the AMU.
