A moment of pride for IIM-K
The sixth meeting of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K) was held on the campus of Kunnamangalam, near here, today.
Thus, more than 59 students in the sixth game of the IIM-K, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM-K-president, AC Muthiah. The gold medal for best academic performance Sunil Kumar Sinha received the medal and the best-Allround performance Rohit Banerjee and invited the editor and publisher of Business Standard, TN Ninan.

Mr. Ninan said that although the country was struggling to reach 8 percent annual GDP growth in the immediate future, a sustainable growth rate of around 6.5 to 7% was possible.
“It could be better, of course, but this is not sufficient for the economy in the next 10 or 15 years. … The growth in history, after what is probably even better,” he said.
Mr. Ninan invited students increasingly aspire to excellence in the world. “They must have a goal that is bigger than yourself, so successfully, it just performance,”he said.
He asked to be honest in implementing their business processes.
“Today, given that the company is clean, I think it is possible, being totally own operations,” he said.
Mr. Ninan said that low inflation, good monsoon, the revitalization of agriculture, strong export growth and strong demand, not to speak of a lively market share and a pile of dollars to the Reserve Bank of India’s cases, there was every reason to believe that this would be the best for India for years 1996-97.
In the last quarter century, India was among the 10 fastest growing economies in the world, on average, more than 5.5 percent of GDP growth per annum.
The India share in world trade and had begun to develop the country trade deficit in the trade surplus, he said.
“For half a century, we have been heavily debt vis-à-vis the rest of the world, but our foreign currency reserves now our debt, the most effective way of debt makes us free, and this objective was reached in just three years, “he said.
According to Mr. Ninan, processing takes place in the country at a slow pace.
