Roongta SAIL chief appointed
NEW DELHI: Roongta Sushil Kumar, was appointed as the president of the Steel Authority of India (SAIL).
He was already an honorarium as chairman of the steel after PSU His VS Jain, July 31.
Mr. Roongta was previously marketing director of the division of SAIL.
An engineering degree BITS Pilani and postgraduate diploma in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Mr. Roongta began his career in 1972 as a Sales Executive SAIL sales in its set-up. He had held various positions within the company during the past 34 years, and was increased as a member on the verge of SAIL Februar’04.
Mr. Roongta also has extensive experience in the management of a steel plant as a supplement, he was Director General of the Durgapur Steel Plant.
The giant steel a net profit of Rs 1.386,41 crore from the sale of Rs crore 7.416,43 for Quartal’06.
The company’s shares closed Rs 76.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday.
