National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, was established in 1963 by the Government of India. Chennai: Chennai-based Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) has announced admissions for the 29th batch of the 3-year part-time PGDBM (Post Graduate Diploma In Business Management) program.
LIBA’s PGDBM program is approved by AICTE (All India Council For Technical Education) and offers specialization in Marketing, Finance, HRM or General Management. Last date for receipt of completed applications is May 10, 2007, a press release said.
Structure of the Program
The part-time PGDBM program has 35 courses - 26 compulsory courses of 3 credits each and 9 elective courses of 4 credits each, and a masters level dissertation in the last term of the third year for 6 credits, totalling 120 credits. The postgraduate Programme consists of nine terms each approximately of three months duration. The classes are held from 6.45 pm – 8.30 pm Monday through Thursday.
Eligibility for admission to the program is university graduation with 50 per cent of aggregate marks and at least 2 years of full-time work experience. The applications received will be scrutinized and eligible candidates will need to present themselves for an admission test at the LIBA campus. Candidates selected on the basis of their performance at this admission test will be required to attend a personal interview followed by group discussion.
