The Institute of Tourism of Kerala and study tours (Christophe) will soon be a part-time position-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration travel and tourism.
Intended to people in tourism and the tourism sector, classes for the program year will be held in the evening, Mr G. Chandramohan, Director, Christophe, told Business Line.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) of Mumbai has emerged as one among the top 10 B-schools in the country with the aim of teaching management courses with a global perspective. LUCKNOW: Tears, laughter, apprehension, excitement, expectation - all these and much more - tinged the eighth convocation ceremony of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA), Jaipuria Institute of Management with emotion.
The solemn convocation capes and mortar boards could scarcely hide the thrill that students felt as they walked into the auditorium.
The emotions of the students seemed to have rubbed on to the faculty and board members of JIM. As the director JIM, DR DK Bandyopadhyay in his address said: “I have mixed feelings. I am extremely happy to see all of you (students) reaching a significant milestone in your life… I am, however, also sad to say goodbye to you.”
Dr Bandyopadhyay outlined the achievements of the institute and the students. Talking about placements, he said: “Most of the students of the batch have already been placed with an average salary of Rs 1.81 lakh.”
Sharad Jaipuria, president of JIM, gave a word of advice to students: “You are at the threshold of a new innings on a competitive wicket… try to find patterns in the fog, which others cannot see. Think strategically, experiment and invent.”
The chief guest of the ceremony, Dr LM Singhvi, member of Parliament and jurist gave an inspiring speech. Quoting Lord Krishna, Dr Singhvi advised, “you must do your best and hope and aspire for the best.”
He told the students to understand their roots, as Indians, and then shape the future. “Convocation is a reminder that we have to dedicate ourselves to the search of life. We must strive to turn information into knowledge, knowledge into wisdom and wisdom into action.”
Medals were awarded to meritorious students. Charu Agarwal and Prachi Garg were awarded the president’s Gold medal and vicepresident’s Silver medal respectively in PGDBA full-time course.
Rahul Korich and Rajeshri Bhoosreddy were awarded president’s Gold medal and vice-president’s Silver medal respectively in PGDBA part-time course.
