Early Childhood Education Career Website Launched

All Education Schools, the leading online resource for education degrees and careers, announced the launch of an Early Childhood Education Career Guide for people interested in earning an early childhood education teaching certificate or degree. The guide can be found at http://SEATTLE, Washington - June 12, 2008 - All Education Schools , the leading online resource for education degrees and careers, announced the launch of an Early Childhood Education Career Guide for people interested in earning an early childhood education teaching certificate or degree.

With an estimated job growth of 12 percent according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, teaching will see the addition of 479,000 jobs through 2016. As states increasingly institute programs to improve early childhood education, this will create many new jobs for preschool teachers, which are expected to grow much faster than average. To educate potential students about opportunities in early childhood education, All Education Schools researched the current state of the early childhood education field and synthesized its findings into a comprehensive career guide.

The All Education Schools Early Childhood Education Career Guide contains current information about early childhood education program requirements, tuition costs and teacher licensing. The guide offers up-to-date career information, including salary and benefit statistics, job descriptions and career path options. For those interested in expert advice about the field, the site contains insightful information in interviews with an early childhood education student and with the principal of a K-3 school with years of experience in the field.

Introducing the SPE Fellows for 2001.

The society of Plastics Engineers honored 15 SPE Senior Members during the 2001 ANTEC by designating them Fellows of the Society. Last month, we profiled eight of the honorees; here are the remaining seven.

Dr. Shau-Tarng Lee, director, Research & Development, Sealed Air Corporation, Saddle Brook, New Jersey, received this honor for his effort to make foam more environmentally sound. Dr. Lee developed carbon dioxide as the sole blowing agent for thick and special application PE foam products. He developed a carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon foaming agent mixture to improve the safety status of hydrocarbon foam extrusion operations, and to reduce hydrocarbon emissions. His development of HCFC-22 to replace CFC-12 for PE foam extrusion and thus reduce ozone depletion allowed Sealed Air to remain a producer of environmentally friendly foams. He introduced volatile ethane as the blowing agent to replace butane and propane for low-density PE foam sheets. Dr. Lee observed shear effects on nucleation for foam-enhanced devolatilization in batch experiments. From this, foam die design technology was greatly improved by the balanced consideration of rheology and foaming. A member of the Society since 1983, Dr. Lee is affilia ted with the Palisades Section and the Thermoplastic Materials & Foams Division of SPE. Costas Gogos and Elliott L. Weinberg sponsored him. He holds seven patents and has several pending, edited Foam Extrusion: Principles and Practices, has contributed nearly 70 technical articles on foam, and has presented seminars both in the U.S. and in Taipei. He received a bachelor of engineering degree in industrial chemistry from National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan, and a master’s degree in engineering and PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Peter G. Pape, retired associate industry scientist, Dow Coming Corporation, Midland, Michigan, was recognized for using the chemistry of silane coupling agents and the unique properties of silicone polymers to make improvements in plastics materials. Since fiberglass-reinforced plastics are neither very strong nor durable without coupling agents, it has been Mr. Pape’s work to optimize silane technology for each specific application to give improved physical properties, increased environmental resistance, high temperature resistance, and improved electrical properties. In applications to glass-reinforced epoxy printed circuit boards, which affect calculators, cell phones, and computers, his work solved the industry’s concern with interfacial failure in making defect-free components. He introduced new ultrahigh-molecular weight silicone additives to thermoplastics, which improve lubrication, abrasion resistance, surface appearance, and processing. He is responsible for the commercialization of the Sioplas[R] process, which uses the moisturereactivity of silanes to crosslink thermoplastics with water. This allows the use of simple and low-cost extrusion lines, and has led to more versatile formulations of wire and cable, heat-resistant pipe, film, foam and other crosslinked products. A member of the Society since 1983, Mr. Pape is affiliated with the Mid-Michigan Section and the Polymer Modifiers & Additives Division of SPE. Ernest A. Coleman and David Riley were his sponsors. He has presented or published 70 technical papers, book chapters, and encyclopedia articles, and lectured at short courses on adhesion and coupling agents. He holds a BS in chemistry and mathematics from Alma College, an MS in organic chemistry from The Ohio State University, with additional graduate studies at Michigan State University and Saginaw Valley State University.

Kareer move: the city has high expectations.

Pune: Pune now has a municipal commissioner, was a “Punekar” for years and knows the city well.

Nitin Kareer, has taken over as Commissioner of the local Pune (PMC) on Wednesday is also aware that Kars Pune have high expectations towards him.

“I know the problems of Pune, Kars, like me, considering also the same,” said Kareer also under its first press conference as head of citizen participation.

Although Kareer comes Shrirampur in Ahmednagar district, he lost his status as the FOJ MBBS Medical College and a degree in business administration with a specialization in the fields of finance, the Institute for Management Development Research here.

After the accession of India Administrative Service (IAS) to 24 in 1988, Kareer worked as Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad (1992-95) and for the last four years, he was sent to Pune as that the Inspector General of registration and stamps.

The question of priorities, Kareer said: “I have not yet developed a plan. Indeed, it should not decide a priority sooner. I’ll take some time to decide, in my short and long-term plans. ” But he says he wants to improve the quality of life common Pune Kars.

“As Punekar I often insert in traffic jams, and I believe that this problem should be solved. I have often felt that I should receive sufficient drinking water with the pressure. I think that roads should not be on the potholes and that waste should not overwhelm the boxes, “said Kareer.

The question of whether it would make administrative reforms aimed at ensuring good governance, especially in the context of controversy over the transfer of development rights (TDR), Kareer said: “administrative reforms for good governance should be carried out when necessary. I also intend to give priority, information technology, as it contributes to good governance. ”

Birthday boy!

Forty years Nitin Kareer is perhaps the youngest ever municipal Commissioner of Pune. He took over the reins of PMC, June 9 his birthday!

Prisé, as he said, when he offered the post of commissioner general rule, offers an executive secretary-level bureaucrat, Kareer said: “I arrived here at the right time in my career.”
