The technology is the key to the armed forces

Director of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai, Ashok Misra on Sunday said that today, officers of the armed forces have a lot of technological developments in the world, and there would be an important role to play in future wars and security measures during peacetime.

Misra, in his convocation address in the course of the 107 National Defence Academy (NDA) for Panshet and Khadakwasla, said: “It is extremely important that the current leaders are well paid by the high-tech, it is the equipment during their life. With an enhanced understanding of the art, they are again be able to contribute to the development of a new and better equipment in the future. ”

“The future wars, as well as security measures in times of peace requires modern technology and countries to acquire, it would have a distinct advantage over the other,” said Misra.
