Delhi University, which will be soon accepting applications for undergraduate courses for almost 35,000 students, has decided to toe the IIT, IIM line when it comes to reservations. The university offers almost 50 distinctive programmes in disciplines like engineering, management, bio-technology, travel and tourism, five-year integrated LLB programme, mass communication, hotel management, medical and para-medical, to name some. The courses are imparted through the University’s School of Studies, constituent colleges and almost 80 affiliated institutions, spread across the city.
About 85 per cent of the seats at GGSIPU are reserved for Delhi students and rest are open for all-India candidates. Admission for all the courses is conducted on the basis of CET. The admissions for the 2005 academic sessions are currently on. The first CET to be conducted by the university is likely to be held on April 23 for the Bachelor of Architecture programme and the last CET will be for Master’s in Physiotherapy on June 30.
