Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) has recently developed a software solution for academic institutions as part of a joint project, in collaboration with the University of Antwerp, Belgium.

The program entitled “Academic Information Systems” cover areas such as university administration, scientific cooperation and knowledge management. It was put into service XIMB for two years. The Institute is now selling educational software d ‘ other institutions.

The first component is a database client / server application, which allows the office of a university institute for managing all aspects of a university system.

Specific areas that fall within their areas of competence are the care databases on students, teachers, classes, meetings and diplomas and the generation of varieties of transactional analysis reports, the university system for make it more effective and efficient.

The second component can be incorporated into the structure of an intranet Institute. It is Web-based interface with teachers and students to interact with the system.
