Dream highways The road from Pune to Mumbai was a dream: a six-lane highway that zipped past the Western Ghats, shot by tunnels, long and small, with our Indica barrelling along on 100-120 km per hour without a hiccup. I did not make this trip on this highway ago - it is four years and very well maintained and marked with a divider roads in some regions, planted for red bougainvillaea kilometer after kilometer.
We did it in Pune, in the heart of Mumbai, in less than three hours flat. The highway ends well before that we in India, the commercial capital and lasts 100 minutes just to cover, which once had four or five hours. And the driver tells me that if the highway from Bangalore is over, you can travel from Mumbai after the capital of Karnataka to eight hours.
