Even the IIMs, it is learnt, has admitted to the errors. However, CAT authorities concerned have said that they would be discussing the issue in order to work out the formula so that no aspirant suffers.

The assurance, however, did not go down well with a few aspirants. “They should understand our concern as the examination means a lot to us,”said Saurabh, one of the agitating students. The agitating candidates observed that no new formula could compensate the trying time they had with the “erroneous” questions.

Reacting to the agitation, Prof Sukumar Nandi of IIM, Lucknow (IIM-L), said that he sees no merit in such agitations.

“We are working towards it and would surely try our best so that the interest of aspirants are not hurt,”he said.
