Interactyx recognized by Grampian Awards
Nteractyx, developer of interactive economics e-learning tool LiveEcon, narrowly missed out on the Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise New Start prize last night. The Aboyne-based company is an independent provider of tools to aid learning in the higher education sector and was selected as a finalist alongside Red Island Limited, who went on to win the award, at the impressive ceremony held at the Ardoe House Hotel in Aberdeen.
LiveEcon, Interactyxs first product, is designed to help university students get to grips with economic analysis and has already been adopted by 34 universities, from the University of Aberdeen to Melbourne Business School in Australia. LiveEcon presents economics, in a visual, interactive way - students are guided through moving tutorials covering all the main issues of economic theory, before testing their understanding through interactive question-and-answer sessions.
.
Charles Jordan, Chairman and founder of Interactyx is delighted that the company was selected as a finalist. Being shortlisted is a measure of how far weve come and we are immensely proud of what we have achieved in such a short time, he explains. The business has gone from strength to strength since we started trading in 2006, but the hard work is far from over and we have some ambitious plans for the coming years.
