MBA in Kannada medium

In a record of sorts, a student of Master’s in Business Application from the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Rajeevaksha Saralaya completed his course in Kannada medium.

Rajeevaksha is an employee with the Bharath Earth Movers Limited. He took admission to MBA in the open varsity and choose to write examinations in Kannada.

But, the University turned down his request . Then,through the intervention of Kannada Kriya Samithi and Kannada Development Autho rity, the KSOU adm inistration obliged to let him to appear for the MBA exams.

3 Asian Universities to Begin Joint MBA Course

Three Asian universities will operate a joint MBA course to better train business and economic experts in Asian regions.

Korea University said Friday that it recently reached an agreement with the National University of Singapore (NUS) in Singapore and the Fudan University in China to jointly offer the program.

The program is designed to catch up with American and European counterparts through an Asian-style MBA program launched by Asian universities, which comparatively lag behind.

It is the first program of its kind where a joint MBA program in association with other overseas universities is to be offered, although local universities have sent Korean students abroad for the program.

Domestic Business Schools Facing Development Bottleneck

Forbes China has published a listing of the best MBA programs in China according to those that help graduates’ incomes rise the fastest. But meanwhile an insider says domestic business schools are faced with growth bottlenecks after one and a half decades of development. Our Shanghai correspondent Xiaoyu has the details.

The survey involves MBA graduates from 50 domestic business schools in 2002 and lists the 10 best full-time and 25 best part-time MBA programs. The Shanghai-based China Europe International Business School and Peking University’s International MBA program rank first respectively on the 2 lists.

How long does it take for students to see a direct return on their investment? – Apparently it takes an average of about 2 years and 8 months for graduates from the best full-time programs and 1 year 7 months for those from part-time ones.
