National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, was established in 1963 by the Government of India. The institute offers Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) and part-time MBA. The institute has 47 full-time faculty and 10 visiting faculty. Each batch consists of 87 students with an average age of 24 years. Admission to the institute is through its own test. The campus, which is spread over 62.37 acres, includes student hostel, classrooms, library and computer centre, residential area for faculty and staff, sports and recreation facility, conference facility, playground, gym, auditorium, canteen, tennis/badminton court and student commonroom. The institute has provided 100 percent placement for its students. The institute’s library has 65,103 book titles, 235 journals and 1,618 CD/videos. The information technology (IT) infrastructure at NITIE includes 287 computers, eight servers and eight computer labs with Internet connectivity.
