The Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), a book agree with the plan Colombo-based International Water Management Institute Tuesday.
Mangala ICAR Director General of RAI and the IWMI director general Frank Rijsberman, signed the plan of mutual cooperation between the two organizations for 2006-07 in Colombo.
“Through this work plan, water as a whole to improve productivity, which is advantageous for a country like India, where every drop of water is precious,” said after the signing of the Rai work plan.
The two organizations is also common knowledge and know-how in the fields of natural resources and management of schedules for the poor.

MANIPAL Dec 12 Asia Pulse - TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal (TAPMI) sign a declaration of intent on December 23 with the School of Business Administration, Oakland University, USA.
The alliance would be faculty, exchange of pupils, students and research training, TAPMI said in a press release.

Building industry backs plan to use recycled water in ACT
The Master Builders Association (MBA) in the ACT says it would like to see new measures encouraging the use of recycled water made permanent.
Under a deal reached with the government, ACTEW will install equipment at Holt, allowing free access to recycled water for construction sites, road works and the watering of parks.
The ACT Government says the service will be reviewed when the current water restrictions are eased.
MBA spokesman David Dawes says he would be happy to work with ACTEW to look at other ways of introducing permanent water-saving measures.

KOCHI: Dr N. Unnikrishnan Nair, Vice-Chancellor of the Cochin University of Science and Technology, has inaugurated the Winter School on Diagnosis and Management of Diseases in Mariculture at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute.
As many as 28 delegates from various institutes under ICAR and State Agricultural Universities are participating in this programme.
The Winter School will conclude on November 27, a release said.
KOCHI: Minister of Water Resources Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan called for transforming the law to severe penalties to those who pollute drinking water sources.
The opening one-day seminar on "reforms in the laws of conservation of water" organized by the School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) on Saturday, Mr. Radhakrishnan said that the availability of potable water can be ensured only through the implementation of stricter laws and creating awareness in public opinion.
