Prof. P.P. Arya, University Business School (UBS) was unanimously elected as Chairman of Panjab University Teachers’ Association for the term 1999-2000.

The new place of Panjab University Teachers' Association (PUTA) was today elected to power in the central unit. During Profiles P.P. Arya, University Business School (UBS) was elected uncontested on the post of chairman, Mr. Harjinder Singh Laltoo, won the elections for the post of secretary.
Laltoo polled 317 votes, while K Tankeshwar, the only other candidate interviewed for the post 214 votes. Nandel Fateh Singh was elected vice-president of the polling 338 votes, while CP Singh has lost with 185 votes, according to official sources.
