Mumbai-based S P Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) is all set to launch its first course at the S P Jain Centre of Management (SPJCM) in the Knowledge Village in Dubai on 13 Jun 2004. The Institute wants to bring a multinational context to its student and faculty body and to the manner in which it runs its programmes. The Knowledge Village in Dubai will house leading universities and training centres from all over the world, forming the first `global campus’. SPJCM will offer a one-year full-time postgraduate diploma and management (PGDM) course. The course will offer four specialisations specific to the professional needs of Dubai, including investments banking and wealth management in the financial services sector; and retail management and hospitality management.
The Institute will hold road shows in India, Pakistan and most of the Middle East countries so as to recruit a mix of NRI and local Arab students.
The faculty will be a mix of SPJI lecturers, visiting professionals and full-time staff.

The Institute of Management Technology (IMT) in Ghaziabad has announced the launch of its new campus at Dubai Knowledge Village.
The announcement was made at the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) thats taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade are planning to set up centres in Dubai, Africa and South East Asia. As Government of Dubai rules do not permit international institutes to operate fully owned centres in Dubai, XLRI collaborated with Al Abbas to set up its centre.
