How to develop inter-personal skills?

BHUBANEWSWAR: Working professionals and college-goers can look forward to some productive sessions on how to develop inter-personal skills and study behavioural changes.

For, the Kolkata chapter of Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Science (ISABS) in collaboration with Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, is organising a five-day human behavioural development-training programme here from September 4.

Programme coordinator Khirod Pattnaik said, under the training schedules, participants will work with facilitators to learn human processes and how to explore their strengths and styles. Also they can gain an insight into interpersonal group interactions, how they perceive others and vice-versa.

The programme will be practical-oriented in human processes and their development. Besides, Pattnaik added, married couples can take advantage of it by enrolling on ‘Intimate space: Effective relationship at home and work’ module. They will be asked to go through a series of exercises to understand the chemistry of relationships. They can use their experience to good effect for developing and deepening relationships at work place and outside, he said. The facilitators will be professional members of ISABS.

The organisation, comprising a group of behavioural scientists, conducts training programmes twice a year throughout the country.
