Dorchester Pacific appoints CEO
Dorchester Pacific [ NZX : DPC ]has appointed Andrew Walker as Chief Executive Officer His appointment follows an extensive national and international recruitment process.
After completing an M.A. (Hons) at Auckland University, Mr Walker was accepted onto the Fletcher Challenge graduate programme before moving to Sony, where he held business development and management roles.
He gained an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in the United States, where he focused on corporate finance and investing. While studying in the US, Mr Walker worked with business strategy consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton and private equity firm Fremont Group.
Mr Walker returned to New Zealand in 2003 and joined Clavell Capital, an Auckland-based merchant bank.

Invesco appoints Dubai sales manager
Invesco Asset Management, part of Amvescap one of the leading independent global investment management businesses, announced the appointment of Nicholas Savastano as regional sales manager for its office in Dubai.
Savastano joins Invesco from Zurich International, where he was most recently distribution development manager and responsible for building Zurichs successful Bancassurance business within the region. He holds an MBA and brings with him 19 years of Financial services experience of which the last 10 years have been focused in the Mena region.

Ms. Anderson, who holds a B.Sc. and an M.B.A. in addition to her Chartered Accountancy designation, brings to Merrex a breadth of financial and accounting experience acquired over fifteen years, including time in private practice with a major accounting firm and more recently as a financial consultant to several companies both private and public.

American Pacific Corporation (NASDAQ: APFC) today announced that Fred D. Gibson, Jr., one of its current directors and retired Chief Executive Officer, has made a commitment of $1 million to the Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc. which receives and manages private contributions made for the support of (Georgia Tech). The $1 million commitment will be used to establish a permanent endowment to support the Mary and Maisie Gibson Institute Professorship. Appointments to the Professorship will be administered by the President at Georgia Tech within any academic discipline.
