Thanks to the initiatives taken by the Gujarat government, cities like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Vadodara are emerging as the new business process outsourcing (BPO) hotspots, says The Business Standard.
At present, 35 BPO units are operating in Gujarat. Of these, ten are from Ahmedabad.
Twenty companies have set up base in Gujarat in the past one year alone.
Companies that are planning to set up units in Gujarat include Azure Technologies, I Call India, Motif Inc, Contech, BPO, QX, Saral Software, Shivam Infonet, Manubhai and Company Effective Teleservices and iServe Systems.

Gujarat University has decided to postpone its MBA part I exam by two days, even as the Gujarat High Court is hearing a petition on Wednesday on students not having enough time to prepare.
