K E Board School, Dharwad (code No.E-14) has bagged the first prize in science models ‘Environment Management in Education’ in the state-level science exhibition held here from January 2 to 4.
Organisers made about five categories, environment management, industries in rural development, information technology and communication in education, land marks in the history of science and mathematical models in education for evaluation in each category by the expert judges.
About 162 models form about 32 educational districts in the state participated in the competition and seven best models were selected in each category. Though all the seven winners would be participating in zonal- level science exhibition to be held Pondicherry, the top three would have their own models for zonal competition while remaining four would present in group models.
The top seven schools from Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Unio Territory would be participating in the zonal competition.
