Karshaka Information Systems and Networking Services is an innovative project by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Government of Kerala. This project for agriculture is a pilot project for implementation of information technology applications relevant information systems and networks aggregation, actions and information dissemination on the importance and interest for farmers, farm workers and officials in a certain way, that improving the overall development of agriculture and farmers in the state welfare state.
The project aims to a farmer in central integrated distributed information system for agriculture, it would be catering to the different requirements and services for farmers in the State.
The abandonment of this project is the development and implementation of computer systems, network, processes and services for agriculture in a way that leads to that: (i) improvement of farmers’ distress and improve their social security systems, (ii) increase in farm productivity and (iii) improving returns on agricultural products and derivatives.
