The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is expected to set up an off-campus institute in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, offering management training for working executives. The courses are slated to begin from the next academic session.
IIM-As off-campus location will initially be in temporary premises leased from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) at Nerul. The state government will offer whatever land is required by IIM-A in the same locality, V Ranganathan, Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra said.

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) is not planning to set up a campus overseas, director Bakul Dholakia said here Tuesday.
"We were not interested in the past, we have no plan or open new campuses abroad. Of course, it is difficult to talk about the future," said Reporters Dholakia.
"It is necessary to draw a distinction between creating a campus abroad and the implementation of training abroad. We have a large number of them (courses) overseas, but they do not require physical infrastructure, "he added.
