Two companies from India, the largest collection of houses - Tata and Reliance - have expressed interest in a project in industrial and social Bolpur, formerly known as just a tourist attraction because of the umbilical cord with Santiniketan.
The infrastructure West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIIDC) has acquired 200 acres on the outskirts of the city for Bolpur composite complex.
