Eligibility : Candidate must have a master’s degree in one the disciplines like : Economics / Commerce / Mathematics / Statistics / Operational Research / Business Administration (including IIFT MPIB) /
M.Tech. of any recognized university / institution with at least 55% marks.
Selection : (i) Candidate must appear and qualify IIFT’s Admission Test (to be held on 11.1.2004);
(ii) Candidates seeking admission on the basis of UGC NET (Research Fellowship) / CSIR or any other Examination for doctoral work; or GMAT (only for foreign nationals) are exempted from IIFT’s admission test. Short-listed candidates will be required to submit a synopsis on the proposed research work in 500 words and thereafter they will be invited for interview in Delhi. Candidates will appear in the interview
at their own expense. Details are available in the Brochure.
How to apply : The application on plain paper giving details of qualifications, age and experience should reach the Institute before 30th December, 2003. The candidates need to attach two photographs and a crossed demand draft of Rs.500/- (non-refundable) drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade payable at New Delhi with the application.
Such candidates will be issued Admit Cards on the basis of which they will appear in the Written Test.
After the receipt of the application a copy of the brochure will be sent to the candidate.

Confused about whether you want to pursue your MBA on a full-time or part-time basis? Youre not alone. In fact, over the past five years the percentage of GMAT test-takers undecided about which type of program they planned to attend nearly tripled, from 2.71% in 2001 to 7.9% in 2006.

XLRI and SP Jain Institute of Management and Research have set up centres in Dubai. Full-time vs part-time MBA
I am 32 years old and working as a quality manager in the automotive component industry. I have been in this line for over seven years now. I am contemplating doing a full-time MBA (Finance) in one of South-East Asias reputed B-schools. I have done a one-year diploma in financial management and am interested in finance, investments and insurance (am qualified to sell insurance too).
I plan to do an MBA because I feel it would give my career a lift and also because I think I have been in my field (quality assurance) for too long.
