Continue bus-pass facility’ for colleges students

There are about 47 unaided colleges affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, GND University, Amritsar, and Punjabi University, Patiala. More than 30,000 students are studying in these colleges. They are going to suffer as the bus-pass facility will be withdrawn from them. According to Mr B.D. HC stays TN Govt order on MBA/MCA seats in minority colleges The Madras High Court has stayed a Tamil Nadu Government order apportioning MBA/MCA seats in aided minority colleges in the ratio of 50:50 for government and management. Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar of the Madurai Bench of the court passed the interim order while admitting a writ petition filed by the city-based American College and Fathima College challenging the recent order. Xpress way to B-school

Come October and students from about 300 colleges across the country would participate in Xpress, a media promotional event, organised by the city-based Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI). Bomb threats target multiple colleges

On Friday afternoon at 4 PM, students and faculty received an Awareness Bulletin describing an e-mail including bomb threats which Public Safety and the Swarthmore Police Department believe to be false. Colleges around the country have been receiving similar messages in the past week, including Carnegie Mellon, Princeton, and MIT. Carnegie Mellon evacuated its science building and was searched by bomb-sniffing dogs, which turned up nothing. The FBI is currently investigating the threats, believed to be a large-scale hoax.
