T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal is ranked 22nd (with a total score of 572.53) in the Cosmode Management Research Centre-Business World 2003 survey of best business schools in India. The survey has been billed as a data survey that has used an ordinal scale to arrive at relative rankings. India has about 840 business schools that produce 65,000 management graduates per annum. The rankings were based on scores across nine key parameters: placement (that had the maximum weightage of 300 points in a total score of 1,000), faculty (200 points), academic facilities, industry interface and networking and innovation (100 points each), programme delivery (75 points), programmes and admissions (50 points each) and academic expenditure (25 points). TAPMI has scored 150.99 points on placement, 80.10 points on faculty, 69.47 points on academic facilities, 72.51 points on industry interface, 47 points on networking and innovation, 72 points on programme delivery, 28 points on programmes, 34.26 points on admissions and 18.18 points on academic expenditure.

MANIPAL: TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Business-Schule of Manipal, one day or three mega-event for B-schools Atharva from December 6.
Anand Saraswati spokesman said: "It was designed with the idea that Indian students in schools from B to interact with each other and with businesses in order to improve learning and the exchange of experiences. "
Participants in some of the best B-schools have confirmed their participation in this event, the organizers said.
The flagship of the Atharva events are Sankalp - formulation of a competitive company, Young Business Leaders and a quiz on the work.

Manipal Education, in association with Subhash Ghai-promoted Whistling Woods, has introduced a two year MBA degree in media and entertainment. The course begins in July 2008 and admissions are open.
The MBA programme will have specialization in Film, Broadcasting, New and Interactive Media and Event Management. The first year will be conducted in Manipal University campus in Bangalore.
The second year will be a "hands on" training programme which will be conducted at the Whistling Woods premises located at Film City, Mumbai. The MBA degree will be provided by Manipal University on completion of the second year.
