MUMBAI: Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT-Bombay, took away the prize at the ET Citi Grand Masters Championship-Mumbai zonal round, held at S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai. The first and the second runners up were Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) and SPJIMR.
Participants from the winning team received a 26-inch LCD TV each from Philip. The runners up received prizes from Police. Six teams were shortlisted based on the online case study solutions they submitted. While one case study was based on the banking sector, the other one was on the automobile industry.
The competition kickstarted with a treasury game, followed by the case study presentations. This was followed by a quiz competition held by Derek O’Brien & Associates. The winners of the West zone will now move on to compete in the grand finals to be held here on January 30.
The next sets of rounds are slated for January 6 in Ahmedabad, January 11 in Bangalore and the January 19 in Kolkata. The grand finale will be held in Mumbai, which will be hosted by ace quizmaster Derek O Brien.
West zone participating teams included Sinhgad Institute of Management & Computer Application, Pune, Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT-Bombay, Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development, S P Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.
