Since Professor of Management Sciences, I have served the university in several capacities, especially in the Faculty of Economics of the business. I was head of the Division of Management Studies (1997-1998), the dean of the Faculty of Economics of the company (1994-1995), director of the Institute of Development Studies for a period of seven years (1995-2003) and, finally, to the position of dean of the Faculty of Economics, Business Education Administration (2003-2005). During this year, I managed and produced 12 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), scores of Masters of Science (MSc), and hundreds of post-MBA degree and owners.
Still, PhD, many researchers are currently working under my supervision over six institutions, Nigeria, most students of the UNN. These students come to me, even though I am totally were dismissed from the University.
They were dismissed from the University for any reason (s)?
Yes, I was discarded. The university authorities showed me the door, July 22, 2007. And it still staggers my imagination, why it does it. As you can see, it all began when I went over sabbatical in 2006. When I came back in March 2007, rectors me to allow me to my job that I can I have the programme of the Faculty. But instead of a vice-chancellor me my appointment to resign. I refused to resign, and came to my refusal of all forms of intimidation, harassment and treatments affecting until they arrived in a letter of suspension in May 2007. Three months later, in July, my letter of dismissal has come. I am now an omnivore spiritual here at home - fully paid after 21 years of active service in the academic world UNN. Yes, I have no reason for termination, except that I think I am a victim of tribal loyalty.
Do you really believe that this is a case of purification tribal leaders?
Yes, what that might be? How do you explain the dismissal of an active policy Professor of Management Sciences, has considerable practical experience in university management and the management of 17 years behind him? For your information, I was the only professor in the Department of Management Studies. And I step out of the division has a large vacuum, as there is no substitute for having barely across the UNN. Before my dismissal, in July, I was willing to work to ensure the accreditation of major races at the Faculty, in accordance with the National Universities Commission (NUC). I was in the establishment of the University of Nigeria Progrmames Distance Learning and Outreach. I saw it as a way to the base of revenue generated internally by the university. In fact, I have one-handed implementation of the initial feasibility study for the project in the 1996/97 years. Now, with the ban on satellite campuses NUC and orientation programs, which I am very excited and images quickly and revenues of the holding in the form of London, Australia, India, Canada and Commonwealth of Learning at a distance and the corresponding programs, in order to continue the tap of a long - standing goodwill, image and acceptability of the population at UNN.
Now, how do you explain the dismissal of a professor who had done everything, and many more years to serve, the Nigeria Civil Service System, if it is because people in high places in the University wanted to protect sectional interests? I think there’s an ethnic cleansing is going on in the UNN trend gradual replacement of non-native species, and therefore a real impact in the academic programs of the University.
Have you had an opportunity to serve outside the University of Nigeria environment?
Yes. Before that I think the authorisation of dismissal of most of the departments of Management and Business Studies at the University of Nigeria and UAS. I wore to postgraduate programs in a number of universities across the country. I as a person important resource for scholars to the Central Bureau of the technical training (NBTE).
Between 1986 and 1989, when I am in the South Pacific, I am much more to the west the National University of Samoa program and, of course, the correspondence. I was very well with the Commonwealth Distance Learning during its program design and creation while in the South Pacific. I was the UNV / UNDP macroeconomist and management analyst for the government to the west of Samoa in the South Pacific. In the late 1970’s, while India, I was in the internationalization of the division for foreign students in Delhi. I as a senior consultant important international organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) and the World Bank. In addition to all these. I have more than a dozen books, the border at the management, administration and analysis, and decision support, all of whom are currently in institutions of higher education to Nigeria.
