Seniors-turned-entrepreneurs help students learn about the difficulties faced by international ventures.
Nishant Saxena, who passed out of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, in 2000, is quitting a high profile job in one of India’s leading companies to start his own venture called Elements Akademia — a chain of vocational schools which has been conceptualised, funded and run by a group of IIM-Lucknow alumni.
Though this entrepreneurial trend has caught on well with Indian management students working abroad, the case of IIM-Lucknow alumni is a little different. These alumni who have now become entrepreneurs— are coming back to their alma mater to recruit their juniors as partners for their overseas ventures.

Mumbai, March 18. Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies Alumni their annual meeting on Saturday in Mumbai. Nostalgia 2005, the event, expects a turnout of nearly 600 alumni.
Among other activities, the organization is the witness of the felicitation Alumni batch of 1980, all 25 years in the business world.
Under the felicitation, organizers are also release and distribute directories with former alumni of the Institute, currently responsible positions in the world.

Alumni dont recall Butler
Two days before the election and more than two weeks since first asked to confirm her academic credentials, District 150 School Board member Alicia Butler still refuses to discuss two disputed degrees.
Questions continue to mount, however, as nearly a dozen professors and alumni said this week they have no recollection of Butler attending classes in the MBA program she claims to have completed at Bradley University.
No comment, Butler said Thursday, when asked to discuss her college credentials at a candidates forum. Instead, she referred questions to her attorney, Hugh Toner.

Alumni from the Accelerated MBA program are collecting personal items for the residents of St. Francis Inn through Friday, December 14. The items will be donated to St. Francis Inn on Saturday, December 15, during the Alumnis volunteer trip to the organizations soup kitchen.
Baby wipes, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other travel size items are needed. If you would like to contribute, the items can be dropped off at the Universitys Woodhaven location.
