Colorado State University’s board Friday approved creation of an online university offering bachelor’s and advanced degrees to students who can’t come to a traditional campus.
The program will be called CSU-Colorado and will focus on degree programs needed by the state’s workforce. Plans are for courses to begin in fall 2008.
A working adult with a family wants to go to school in a convenient way that allows him or her to work, raise a family and improve his or her career potential. CSU-Colorado is directed at this type of individual, Larry Edward Penley, CSU chancellor, said in a statement Friday.
