IIM-A to hike fees for 2 courses

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has decided to hike the fees for the second batch of the one year Post Graduate Programme in Public Management and Policy (PGP-PMP) from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 12 lakh for non-sponsored candidates and for the students sponsored by the Department of Personnel and Training from Rs 7.5 lakh to around Rs 9 lakh.

The institute has also announced opening its course to candidates with legislative and/or ministerial experience for the batch of 2008-09.

The institute is hoping to attract candidates who are at least 27 years old and have one or more years of experience as a minister at the central level or as a member of Parliament or two or more years of experience as a minister at the state level or as a member of state assembly or have served local bodies for five or more years.

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) on Saturday decided not to increase the fee for the next academic year. IIMs fees slashed to Rs.30,000

The Union Human Resource Development Ministry has decided to fix the fees for post-graduate programmes in the much-sought-after Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) at Rs.30,000 a year from about Rs.1.5 lakh a year. An announcement to this effect was made here today and the new fee structure - which includes hostel charges - will come into effect from the coming academic session.
