iBT Scores Set by Universities in TOEFL

Graduate Health Professional Associations

Universities and other institutions that use TOEFL® scores have begun to set their TOEFL iBT score recommendations or requirements. These initial score standards will be reviewed by the institutions after the first year of testing.

The TOEFL iBT score scale is:

Test Section Score Range
Listening 0 to 30
Reading 0 to 30
Speaking 0 to 30
Writing 0 to 30
Total Score 0 to 120

TOEFL iBT provides more information about the applicant’s abilities to communicate in an academic English language environment. To make best use of the score information, some institutions plan to set section or skill score requirements either by themselves or in combination with a total score, while others plan to set a total score standard.

The TOEFL results comprise four different scores : a total score (0-300), a separate score for Listening section (0-30), a separate score for Structure/Writing section (0-30) and a separate score for Reading section (0-30). Eligibility and Fees for the TOEFL

Anyone and everyone is eligible for taking the TOEFL test - there are no restrictions based on age or qualifications. The test scores are valid for two years. i.e., most universities accept scores up to two years old. Fees are subject to change without notice. In India, this fee is US $130, payable at the time of registration. You cannot pay in Indian Rupees.
