The PMI Group, Inc. today announced the appointment of David A. Kerns as Vice President, Corporate Capital Management and Analysis.
Kerns responsibilities will include managing the corporations long-term corporate rating agency and regulatory capital strategy, planning, and related structures, including leading the annual capital plan strategy development process, and monitoring capital needs and usage for maximum financial efficiency. He will also serve as the corporations main liaison with the rating agencies. He will report to Thomas J. Jeter, Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Corporate Controller.

Lofe, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, said, Davids broad knowledge of economic and regulatory capital issues, experience in working with the rating agencies, and strategic business approach will be a great asset to PMI. Pfeiffer University has hired bank executive Robin Leslie as vice president of finance.
Most recently, she was assistant vice president and investor-relations manager at First Charter Bank in Charlotte.

UNC names associate dean of MBA program
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Tuesday appointed David Hofmann as the next associate dean for the MBA program at the universitys Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Morgan, currently a professor of organizational behavior and strategy at the UNC school, will replace Valarie Zeithaml effective July 1.
Zeithaml served as senior associate dean for academic affairs and marketing area chair at Kenan-Flagler before serving as the head of the MBA program for four years.
