Three Boston College programs - mens tennis, mens outdoor track and softball - have earned 2007 ACC spring sportsmanship awards, the league has announced.
Teams receiving the awards have conducted themselves with a high degree of character and good sportsmanship, as determined by a vote of the leagues players and coaches.
Additionally, Boston College was named the recipient of the ACC Sportsmanship School of the Year Award for the 2006-07 academic year by virtue of winning outright sportsmanship awards in eight sports - football, volleyball, womens basketball, womens swimming and diving, mens swimming and diving, mens tennis, mens outdoor track and softball.

Local bowling: MBA to induct three Saturday
The Manitowoc Bowling Association will induct Mike Lallensack, Dennis Nelson and Eddie Moy at its hall of fame and awards dinner banquet at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at CC Willows Supper Club in Valders.
Tickets are available at all MBA bowling houses.
To be eligible for induction, bowlers must have participated in sanctioned bowling in the MBA for at least 10 years, they must be at least 50 years old on the day of nomination, and they can be selected for bowling skills, repute and/or sportsmanship.
