IIFT plans new initiatives for its academic session starting July 2

based Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) will introduce new initiatives in its new academic session.

These initiatives are in the area of course curriculum redesign, introduction of new electives, examination and marking system, and international faculty. The new session for MBA students begins on July 2.

IIFT director K T Chacko told MBAUniverse.com: This year we have introduced new compulsory courses like Small Enterprise System, Indian Economy and new electives like Infrastructure Financing.

IIFT to set up campus in city this July

KOLKATA: Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), the country's foremost school specialising in the subject, will set up a campus in the city this July. IIFT is initially looking for rented space to start classes. It plans to move to its own campus by end-2006 or early next year. Around 60 students are expected to be given admission on the Kolkata campus. The Delhi campus takes in 100 students per year. IIFT will conduct group discussions and interviews for admission in the city from January 30 to February 2.

IIFT, DSIR To set INDIAN Int’l Center for trade with technology.

The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) in India today an agreement with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) for the establishment of a centre for international trade with technology. Set up in IIFT, the Centre for Research on problems that emerge in trade and technology to identify opportunities for the export of India, a statement of IIFT said here. IIFT to make operational the centre of Kolkata this year.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Kolkata its new operational centre of this academic year SMEs and the creation of a training centre for small and medium enterprises. The University of Alabama announced plans to offer an executive MBA degree in Huntsville starting in July 2008. The degree will be offered through a cooperative agreement with the University of Alabama in Huntsville on the Huntsville campus, the school said Monday.
