Kuuttila directed the STC from June 2003 until last April, when she resigned to head a newly formed technology commercialization program at Michigan State University, her alma mater.
But after four years in New Mexico, she and her family couldnt shake their new-found addiction to the Land of Enchantment, Kuuttila says. That, plus Kuuttilas highly gratifying experiences at STC, encouraged her to seek re-appointment to her old position.
It was both a personal and professional decision to come back, she says. I just love the STCs structure and the way its set up for success at the university. I think other universities need to take a look at how STC operates and emulate it.
